In this hands-on class, students will learn how to set up and operate the Takam TE-1055 3-axis CNC milling machine. The course covers the complete process from powering on the machine to running a full multi-tool aluminum machining operation. Students will gain practical experience in job setup, tool installation, basic programming, and executing CAM programs developed during the class. They will actively machine aluminum parts, learning essential skills such as part fixturing, tool length offsets, and safe machine operation. This class is designed to build confidence in using CNC equipment and provide a solid foundation for further training in machining and manufacturing.
