In CNC Furniture Design from CAD to Woodworking, you'll explore the art of precision furniture making by combining modern digital design with CNC machining. Students will begin by designing a small furniture piece, such as a coffee tray, using Autodesk Fusion 360 (a personal laptop is recommended but not required). You will then learn to create machining strategies and generate G-Code using Fusion 360’s manufacturing tools. The class includes hands-on experience setting up and operating an industrial CNC router at Made In Workshop, as well as finishing the work piece by cleaning and sanding it for a professional result. By the end, you'll gain practical skills in designing, programming, and machining your own furniture pieces. Please note this class does not provide a tradesman qualification.
